"Join
Us in Saving the Lives of Those with Blood Cancer" The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's nationwide evening walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by blood cancers. It will be held Thursday, September 11th. Walkers carry illuminated balloons to celebrate and commemorate the many lives touched by cancer - red to show support, white to show survivorship and gold for memorials. The evening begins with registration and a remembrance ceremony along with food, refreshments, music, and entertainment, culminating with a walk that winds leisurely through Holmes Lake Park. Your participation will help save lives: more that 747,000 adults and children are currently living with a blood cancer. Someone new is diagnosed every 5 minutes; someone dies every 10 minutes.
